Aston Martin Vantage – Luxury Redefined

The V8 Vantage and the V12 Vantage are a series of hand-built sports cars from the manufacturer Aston Martin. The brand has previously used the Vantage name for the high performance variants of their existing GT models (basically Virage based cars from the 1990s). However, the modern cars are leanest and most agile cars in this line-up. It is intended as the more focused model to reach out to buyers which preferred models from competitive brands.

A tuning package for the V8 Vantage was released by Prodrive in 2007. The package consists of four separate packages, which can be installed in stages. These four packages are for the aerodynamics, engine, wheels and suspension.

The engine package has an engine control unit remapping and some modifications at the minor level to boost power on the 4.3 L engine by 45 hp (34 kW), and torque by 25 lb ft (34 NM). It also remaps the throttle control. An exhaust modification is also included to allow the driver to leave the by-pass valves in three separate settings. In order to make vehicle more planted and accurate through the corners, the Bilstein and Eibach parts replace the portions of the car’s suspension.

Lighter twin-7 spoke alloys from Prodrive Japan replaces the stock wheels with the tyre and wheel package. The aerodynamic package plays a role to incorporate carbon fibre from splitter and rear wing to reduce lift by up to 45%.
