With Geneva as its headquarters, Chopard could reach well to its customers. Well, the company again shifted hands in 1943, when it was taken over by the grandson of Louis Ulysse called Paul Andr Chopard. The family owned legacy ended with Paul Andr as his son refused to carry forward the tradition.
The Chopard watch company was sold to a young watchmaker and goldsmith Karl Scheufele. Karl contributed a lot to the growth of Chopard. He added the first ladies collection and a jewelry section to the company. Till date Karl Scheufele is the president of Chopard and his children are also the co presidents of the company. Caroline Gruosi Scheufele, the daughter of Karl heads the jewelry and the ladies watch division of the company, the gents collections are supervised by her brother Karl Freidrich Scheufele who also directs the manufacturing unit of Chopard located in Fleurier where the LUC movement of each and every Chopard watch is produced.
